In 2012, we started a project where students and professors would work together to create educational videos for their local communities, in their local language, to be made available online for free.
We believe education is a powerful tool that empowers people to advance themselves and humanity and that is the foundation of IEEE Academic.
IEEE Academic is a student-driven, multilingual and locally developed online educational resource, created in cooperation with professors and universities to aid students in their academic learning and to help them achieve academic success.
So far, IEEE Academic has:
- Reached over 67,000 unique learners from more than 100 countries;
- Delivered more than 200,000 academic video module views;
- Created a library of more than 480 videos in 7 different languages, totaling more than 68 hours of educational content.
And this is just the beginning. We want to build one of the largest student-driven online libraries of academic content that makes it easier to everyone to access high-quality videos in their own languages, any, for free.
Today we are launching the blog where we will tell you our story and show how can you help.
Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try.
